From Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere National Park, you will be picked by a guide from Habitus Tours at your Hotel, Airport or Ferry for safari briefing and then drive south to Nyerere National Park which is approximately five and half hour’s drive from Dar es salaam. On arrival you will get lunch and then start with afternoon boat safaris along the mighty Rufiji River You will discover Rufiji River by boat encounter hippos and crocodiles in good number. Some 350 species of bird have been recorded in Nyerere National Park. These are typical of Miombo woodlands, and the bird life supported by Rufiji swamp lands is particular in interest. , Dinner and overnight at lodge.
You will have full day in Nyerere National Park exploration of the reserve by 4-wheel drive vehicle dinner and overnight at Selous Lodge/Camp. The Nyerere National Park is the largest in Africa, covering 53,600 sq km. The reserve gets its name from the hunter and explorer Frederick Courtney Selous. He was killed here during World War 1. Selous is famous for elephants; other species commonly seen are Lions, Wild dogs, Buffalo, bush back, Impalas elands, baboons, zebras, and giraffes and so many animals. Excursions with 4*4 vehicles will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of vast park
After breakfast you go for full day game drive with packed lunch boxes Nyerere National Park. During lunch time you enjoy picnic lunch in the picnic site the guide will select for you. After your picnic Lunch and some relaxation, you continue with game drive until to the evening. Dinner and Overnight at Camp/Lodge.
Start the day with morning walking safari after the walking safari that takes around two and half hours you return back to your camp and have your breakfast then after you are done with breakfast you will relax a bit and enjoy the environment of the lodge and after that, drive back to Dar es salaam. On arrival in Dar es salaam you will be dropped Airport for your flight back home or at Hotel/ferry to Zanzibar, Mafia Island.
